Activity-seekers will have plenty to do, from the summer rollercoaster on the Straža Hill, to paddle-boarding or kayaking on the lake. Take a day trip to the wild and beautiful Lake Bohinj and walk the stunning Mostnica Gorge or take the gondola up Mount Vogel - this takes you to the best viewpoints and the start points for some really impressive hikes. Kranjska Gora is in a picture-perfect location between the forested foothills and limestone peaks of the Julian Alps, close to the Austrian and Italian borders. Take a dip in Lake Jasna, ride the alpine coaster down from the top of the Vitranc chairlift, or try zip-lining at Planica. The walking around Kranjska Gora is stunning, with panoramic views at every turn - easy strolls along the river, wander the boardwalks along the wetlands at the Zelenci Nature Park, or take on a challenge amongst the most dramatic scenery in the area on a high mountain hike starting from the top of the Vršič Pass.
