Family Holidays in Italy

Family Holidays in Italy

We’ve tried and tested a wide range of Italian destinations and activities to produce perfect holidays that you – and your family – will love and treasure. Some places have baby facilities and kids’ clubs, others have activities for older children and all look after the adults too !

Italy offers rural retreats where children will love learning about how to care for farm animals, or helping to cook a traditional rustic feast. And there are acres of olive groves, fragrant citrus orchards and vineyards to discover while experiencing the traditional way of life in peaceful villages off the beaten track.

Family Beach Holidays

Our family beach holidays in Sicily have everything from shallow, warm seas and every flavour of ice- cream, to exciting activities to keep children entertained all day. The friendly coastal resort of Giardini Naxos on the east coast is wonderful for family beach holidays.

city Family Holidays

The magic of Italy’s cities is that they educate and entertain effortlessly whether you’re young or old. Many of the cities are like museums in that they are packed with so much history and culture - consider Venice, Florence, Rome, Verona and Milan.
Each one of these cities has the ‘wow’ factor – you have the gondolas on the Venetian canals, the domes and artistic treasures of Florence; the Vatican, Pantheon and all the antiquities of Rome.
Children studying Shakespeare will find the beautiful pink-marbled city of Verona interesting and its Roman Arena amphitheatre also has classic opera summer performances to enjoy. The northern city of Milan, the fashion capital of Italy, is wonderful to explore as a family.
Car lovers, however, will love Turin; it’s the home of the Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo plants and you can tour the National Car Museum – and then there’s the fact that it’s also home to world-famous football club Juventus!

Rural Family Holidays

Rural family holidays
Life is so ‘full on’ these days, especially for children since the advent of the internet and social media. It’s good for the whole family to step out of the race for a while and there’s no better way to do that than to enjoy a slice of authentic Italy, off the beaten track.
Stay in traditional, family-run agriturismi in the heart of Tuscany or amongst the olive groves in Puglia -  or at a Masseria for a slower pace of life amid gorgeous countryside. You’ll feel the country lifestyle and fresh air revive you – and it’s so different.
Masseria and Agriturismo properties are wonderful places to stay, being full of character and historic features. Children will love the adventure and exploring every nook and cranny.
