The ‘Saalbach Hinterglemm Joker Card’ gives FREE unlimited use of all cable cars and walkers’ buses in the valley, plus guided walks and free entrances to various attractions, making this beautiful region fantastic value and a joy to explore. There is a huge range of activities for families, and it is also one of Austria’s premier mountain biking areas. Both villages have attractive pedestrianised centres with a good choice of shops, cafés and restaurants. Traditional folklore events, band concerts and weekly festivals take place throughout July and August.

Europe’s highest waterfall, with a total drop of 380 meters in three spectacular stages. You can walk right to the foot of the falls where they empty into the river Salzach and enjoy the sound and the fury. The fit and energetic can attempt the steep walk right to the top. There is also time to relax with a drink and a delicious cake at one of the cafes.
