The picturesque village of Ulvik with its wooden houses and scenic mountain backdrop, lies in a sheltered bay of the spectacular Hardangerfjord, known as the Orchard of Norway due to its plentiful fruit trees. Guests will be able to try some of the delicious products at one of the many local farms. In summer the meadows are full of wild flowers, and the network of well-marked walking paths make the region a great choice for walkers. The region offers a wealth of breath-taking scenery, also easily reached by public transport or by joining on of our organised excursions or walks. In Ulvik itself, there is also cycling, boating and fishing, but your enduring memories will probably be of the serenity of the setting reflected in the crystal clear water of the bay
The region offers a wealth of breathtaking scenery easily reached by public buses and ferries or by joining one of our guided excursions. In Ulvik itself there is cycling, swimming, boating and fishing, folk evenings and dancing, but your enduring memories will probably be of the serenity of the setting reflected in the crystal clear water of the bay.
