Peaceful village perfectly located for exploring the Jungfrau region's lakes and mountains

Wilderswil is a charming, traditional Bernese village with a peaceful, rural ambience. Set amidst flower-strewn meadows at the foot of the Bernese Alps, this is a friendly village with wooden chalets dating back to the 17th century and lovely old ‘Stübli’ restaurants serving traditional Swiss dishes. Wilderswil is perfectly placed for an amazing choice of excursions using the local trains, boats and cable-cars and is an excellent starting point for many of the region’s varied walks, from easy to difficult. Take the rack railway into the mountains to visit Grindelwald, Wengen and Mürren, with connections to the Jungfraujoch or the Schilthorn, or the cog railway to Schynige Platte to explore the fabulous alpine garden and some of the best views of the Jungfrau massif. FREE travel on local buses and some nearby trains included for all guests, allowing you to explore the neighbouring villages, the town of Interlaken and lake shores of Thun and Brienz. Our hotels in Wilderswil offer a great choice of accommodation.
