About Tunturi Hotel Suites

The Tunturi Hotel Suites are a practical choice for skiers, located just 200 meters from the village centre and directly next to the cross-country trails. The suites are spread across four buildings, all within a two-minute walk of the main hotel hub, giving you quick access to the ski bus stop for downhill runs. Each suite is designed for a functional ski break, featuring a kitchenette for quick snacks, plenty of space to organise your equipment between outings and a drying closet to warm any mittens or ski socks.

The Tunturi Hotel Suites enjoy a serene setting set back from the village centre, surrounded by lovely snow-covered trees. The main village is just a short walk away, where you'll find a variety of gift stores, restaurants and cafes, as well as toboggan slopes.

Since the suites are part of the wider Tunturi complex, you have full use of the main building’s facilities to refuel. If you opt for half-board, the restaurant serves buffet-style breakfasts and three-course dinners featuring Lappish specialities—ideal for high-energy days on the mountain. For a more casual post-ski atmosphere, the wood-panelled Bar & Grill Pirtti is a reliable spot for a drink and pub-style food like burgers and pizza.

Discover Saariselka

Located in the wild, mystical north of Lapland, Saariselkä is home to the northernmost ski resort in Europe - one centre, two mountains. With magnificent Arctic wilderness scenery just on the doorstep, it makes an ideal resort for an all-round winter wonderland adventure. The skies are often a deep hue of pink and purple, the pine trees heavily covered with snow, and being so far north, there is a good possibility of skiing under the Northern Lights, too.

The downhill ski and snowboard area is spread across the Lisakkipää and Kaunispää fells and is best suited for beginners and intermediates. The ski schools here speak English, and all of the slopes lead back to the same area in the valley where you'll be able to warm up in the café or by a campfire.

While you're here in Europe's northernmost ski resort, check out the excellent cross-country ski trails in the adjoining National Park. In Saariselkä, there are over 200 kilometres of cross-country ski tracks, 34 of which are illuminated - so you can make the most of these tracks despite the polar nights.
