One of Selva's most iconic hotels with its central tower, The Oswald is rich with history and previously known as the best hotel in the Alps. A grand, Alpine hotel, the Oswald's elegant public areas are supported by well-appointed rooms in traditional, mountain style. The standout focus for us however was the gourmet restaurant serving food from around the world as well as sourcing local produce to create a menu of sophisticated seasonal dishes. The amount of detail going into the presentation of the food certainly creates a wow factor, especially on the weekly Tyrolean themed evening.
Situated close to the centre of Selva, the Ciampinoi gondola is just 350 meters away and the hotel runs a shuttle to the lifts in the mornings. After a day skiing, returning to the hotel is not a bad option at all. You can either choose to relax in the comfort of your room and take a hot bath before sitting out on the balcony to do a spot of people watching, or you may prefer to explore the spa facilities the hotel has to offer. The sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are all free of charge but you can treat yourself to a massage or perhaps a beauty treatment, after all, the hotel gives ever guest a spa credit of €30 per person on all dates except those arriving on 26th Dec 20.
The friendly and professional team at the hotel run a tight ship with little extras thrown in here and there to ensure a great stay. You can look forward to a welcome drink on a Sunday, free daily tea and cake from 3-5pm and did we mention the spa voucher?
Transfer time: approx. 3 hours by coach from Innsbruck airport.
