Beginners skiing and snowboarding in St. Moritz
With convenient access by funicular from the centre of St.Moritz, Corviglia is the best place for beginners as there is a variety of well groomed pistes to practise your turns and technique.
Intermediates skiing and snowboarding in St. Moritz
Intermediates will be able to take full advantage of the ski area as there are plenty of long red runs in almost all areas. Corviglia is a favourite for its long runs which bring you back to town. The terrain in the Corvatsch-Furtschellas region is more difficult and steeper, making it appealing to more experienced skiers and snowboarders.
Advanced skiing and snowboarding in St. Moritz
Corvatsch is equally good for the advanced skiing and snowboarders, as there are a number of black runs in the area including the renowned Hahnensee run leading into St. Moritz-Bad. There is also the opportunity to ski the longest glacier descent from Diavolezza down to Morteratsch, one of the most spectacular runs in the area. We recommend hiring a guide for this run though, as it can be incredibly challenging for even the most competent skier or boarder.
Freestyle & freeride in St. Moritz
The well-equipped snow park "Crowland" at the top of is great for all abilities, consisting of a variety of boxes, kickers, rails and wavelines. For the best freeride experience, we recommend hiring a guide to show you the off piste terrain in and around Diavolezza or Corvatsch.
Cross country skiing in St. Moritz
Skiers have miles of tracks to choose from, exploring lateral valleys and all the frozen lakes of Engadine. The Resort bus connection between Corviglia and Corvatsch cable car station is free of charge with you lift pass.

Our accommodations in St. Moritz
Discover St. Moritz
St Moritz has an idyllic location in Switzerland's Engadine valley and is one of the most recognised resorts in the world. The resort itself is split into three villages: Dorf, on the shore of the lake, has the pick of shops, nightlife, and restaurants. This is where our hotels are located. St. Moritz Bad is less than 2 kilometres away - it's quaint and quieter in comparison. Celerina, on the other side of Dorf, has more of an Italian influence and still has its share of hotels and restaurants. All villages have access to the home mountain, Corviglia.
The three main ski areas are Corviglia, Corvatsch & Diavolezza-Lagalb, all of which offer you something different. they're all linked by the local ski bus, which is included in your lift pass. With more than 155 kilometres of runs close to home at Corviglia, many skiers and snowboarders are happy to remain on the local slopes for the duration of their stay. Others will want to see what other temptations the area's have to offer. Across the valley, Corvatsch is reached by cable cars from Surlej or Furtschellas at either end of Lake Silvaplana, and provides a large area of quite steep terrain. For non-skiers, there’s a wide array of activities including more than 200 kilometres of scenic cross-country tracks and miles of winter walking trails.
St Moritz is a gem for the foodies, with an array of restaurants from Michelin-star spots to cosy alpine restaurants, you are truly in for a treat here. It has a sophisticated laid back vibe compared to other Swiss resorts like Zermatt, however there are still plenty of bars on and off the mountain to enjoy. The Sky Bar at the Hotel Monopol is one of our favourite's - you cant beat the views across the lake from here. If you're after live music and a great atmosphere, then the Stübli Bar is a good bet - it's popular with tourists and locals alike.
St.Moritz hosts around 150 winter events – all on ice, throughout the winter season. Check out what's on before you visit. You might catch things like Cricket on Ice, a twist on the traditional game, which is played on the frozen lake each winter. In the unlikely setting of a frozen lake and against the backdrop of snow-covered mountain peaks, drivers, collectors, and car enthusiasts gather to drive, show, and observe some of the world's most exciting cars at the I.C.E festival. To round off the end of an exciting winter season, the World Championship Village comes to life to celebrate the Freestyle World Championships. Watch on as the world's best skiers and snowboarders take on the challenge of various different disciplines including moguls, ski or snowboard cross and big air. There are also a host of performances from well known music creators throughout the resort, as well as daily apres events to finish off the day (certain events are ticked, be sure to book in advance).
For a day of the slopes, enjoy relaxing in the day spa. Located on the top floor of the sport centre, you can enjoy incredible views of the mountains whilst relaxing in the saunas, steam room or Jacuzzis.
A shopper paradise, St Moritz has some of the biggest names in high fashion lining the streets, as well as hand crafted souvenirs, jewellery stores and sporting shops. Equipment rental and sports shops are typically open until late in the day so you can maximise your time on the mountain before returning your equipment at the end of your last day.
Our flexible short ski breaks in Switzerland have you covered! Hit the slopes for as long or as short as you like. Design your perfect Swiss ski getaway! Choose your duration, departure day, hotel, and resort. Fly from your preferred airport and customize your trip with extras like ski hire and lift passes.
