About Parkhotel Sole Paradiso

Wonderfully run by the Ortner family, the Parkhotel Sole Paradiso has welcomed guests with the same warmth for over four generations – and it’s easy to see what keeps guests coming back time and time again. From its convenient location, with woodland walks right on your doorstep, to the stunning 10,000m² of private lawn and gardens, it’s the ideal place for you to relax in the sunshine.

Travelling with children? With a giant chess set and boules in the garden, table tennis and table football in the games room, there's no time for boredom to set in. There's also a fantastic summer programme with activities and tours provided for free by the local Tourist Office.

But ultimately, you’ll all want to head out on the trails and into the well-known (and well-loved) Dolomites scenery. The Baranci lift is just 300m away, opening up a range of local walks in San Candido and the surrounding area. Hop on the bus – stopping right outside the hotel – and in just five minutes you’ll be in the village of Sesto, with its lovely walks and panoramic views of Monte Elmo. Best of all, this public transport is free with the Südtirol Guest Pass provided by the hotel. All in all, this hotel is well-connected, has a welcoming community feel and is exactly what you'd expect from a holiday.

Discover Drei Zinnen Dolomites

  • Admire the three distinctive peaks of Cima Grande, Cima Ovest and Cima Piccola
  • Take on the Tre Cime circular – and be rewarded with one-of-a-kind views
  • Enjoy sweeping 360° views from Mount Elmo for well-known Dolomite panoramas

The Tre Cime di Lavaredo, known in German as Drei Zinnen, is one of the most iconic mountain ranges in the Italian Alps. You've seen the photographs, but nothing will ever capture the magic of the Dolomites like seeing it for yourself. Here, the pale limestone peaks won’t just sit in the background as you walk the trails beneath – they'll become memorable on any walk you'll go on as you see them from different angles. And as if this isn't enough, the region is also home to the turquoise waters of Lago di Braies, one of the most beautiful Alpine lakes in the Dolomites. Together, they create a landscape that makes this corner of the Alps so unforgettable: unique landscapes and the sheer space to embrace the great outdoors.

Drei Zinnen Tres Cimes Three Peaks Dolomites Italy

Adventure meets history on Monte Paterno. Carefully carved tunnels and military paths built during World War I still wind through the rock, giving a fascinating glimpse into the region’s past. There's also a great photo spot here, where the mountain tunnel frames the peaks of Tre Cime di Lavaredo – it's like looking out of nature's very own window.
