From the minute you arrive at Hotel Kriss Internazionale you’ll feel spoilt. Nothing is too much trouble for the Lonardelli family who run the hotel. It’s the exceptional service that keeps people coming back here year after year. From the top shelf whiskies and champagnes in the foyer to the vintage Vespas and Piaggios that welcome you as you enter, the family can tell you a tale about every nook and cranny, which creates a truly unique and personal experience.

The location of the hotel is spectacular. It’s minutes from the promenade and right in front of the lake. The centre of Bardolino is an easy ten-minute walk away - use one of the hotel’s free bicycles to get there even quicker or to go further afield to nearby Garda. The hotel has its own beach and a private jetty with direct lake access. There’s enough loungers and parasols here for everyone and there’s even more on the stunning roof terrace. Head there for some of the best views over the lake. A lunchtime restaurant serves up some great local dishes, and you can even enjoy these on the beach or terrace if you want to. In the evening, take the pleasant walk into Bardolino where there’s plenty of restaurants to choose from. The staff are happy to make recommendations.

Transfer time: approx. 45 mins by coach from Verona airport.

Bardolino

A holiday to Bardolino means enjoying lots of excellent wines. The town's surrounded by a stunning scene of orchards, olive groves and vineyards. Plan your trip for around the end of September and you’ll be able to enjoy the Bardolino Wine Festival that celebrates the town’s namesake wine - a light, fruity red that pairs perfectly with fish.

It’s not just about the wine though. The town has a busy main square filled with cafés, restaurants and upmarket shops. Evening choir and music concerts are often held here during the summer, making it a great place to spend an evening people watching and enjoying local food. The square leads down to a pretty harbor where you’ll find miles of lakeside promenade that’s perfect for walking or cycling - it’ll take you all the way to the neighbouring resort of Garda. If you’re after something more strenuous, there are plenty of walking trails nearby. Choose from over 20 that head up into the hills that surround the town. Some of these lead to towns on the lake while others take you to some fantastic viewing spots of the sparkling lake from above.
