Tignes-Val d’Isère

Icon of the Alps - discover France's snowiest playground

The Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area is the most reliable place for those of you who love year-round ski trips. It's divided into two separate ski resorts, Tignes and Val d’Isère and the glaciers mean that you can even head there for some Summer skiing! At night the valley glows with the golden light from the cluster of restaurants, bars, chalets and hotels. In the day time, the Grand Motte Glacier is a must-see for experienced skiers and snowboarders with its vast snow fields and white forests.

Ski holidays in the Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area

The area's ideal for skiers of all levels due to its 300 kilometre range of pistes and is one of the first in the alps to open it's doors. Tignes is well designed for beginners, with lifts and designated, secure slopes for those of you looking to build your confidence. If you'd rather go off-piste, there are professional guides who'll show you the best routes. You can even ski past frozen waterfalls and try to discover the secrets of the slopes! This is definitely one to add to your bucket list.

Val d’Isère has always been well suited for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders and you'll enjoy the range of extensive blue and red runs across resort. The majority of the slopes here are over 2,300 metres - so you can expect fresh powder and perfect snow throughout season. Not only is the skiing fantastic, but Val d’Isère is also home to some of the best après-ski scenes across the whole of Europe!

Le Village Perdu

Enjoy this magical outdoor play and relaxation area free of charge. The Village Perdu can be found in the heart of La Daille's forest. This new and sustainable hideaway features overhanging footbridges more than 90 metres high. If you're feeling adventurous you can ski right up to the Village Perdu, before heading off on foot to explore the walkways through the trees.

A well established favourite for UK skiers, some come purely for its awesome range of challenging skiing. Others are more interested in the resort's well earned fame as an apres ski paradise. However, we believe most will simply revel in a resort that continually manages to combine both these strengths better than anywhere else in the ski world.

Tignes and Val d'Isere come together to create one of the largest ski regions in France, with over 300 kilometres of terrain to be explored by everyone of all abilities - it truly is an area you'll want to keep coming back to.
