Tignes-Val d’Isère Ski Area

An iconic ski area, shared by two contrasting but equally exciting resorts

The world famous 300km of the Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area combines the two ski domains of Tignes and Val d’Isère. The whole area is one of the most snow sure in Europe, and thanks to the glaciers, even summer skiing isn't off the cards! The huge combined area is a true skier's dream, with an enormous variety of pistes for all levels to enjoy plus plenty of seriously 'steep & deep' off piste too, including some spectacular adventures to be discovered with a professional guide. From the top of the world on the Grand Motte Glacier, with its broad, open snow fields, to the pretty forested pistes and frozen waterfalls down to Les Brevieres, the range is simply exceptional and most skiers would be hard pushed to discover the whole area's secrets in one visit - an absolute must on any skier or snowboarder's bucket list!

A true skier's resort; high, totally snow sure, with high speed lifts and open pistes right around its huge, panoramic snow bowl. Tignes is the leader of non stop ski. With a resort height of 2,100m snow is always on the menu and anyone looking to improve their freestyle should definitely consider a week in Tignes!

A well established favourite for UK skiers, some come purely for its awesome range of challenging skiing. Others are more interested in the resort's well earned fame as an apres ski paradise. However, we believe most will simply revel in a resort that continually manages to combine both these strengths better than anywhere else in the ski world.

What We say
  • The undiscovered corners of the Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area can be your most memorable experiences – Le Fornet is a must!

  • Tignes has a 24 hour bus service between Lavachet, Le Lac and Val Claret.

  • On low visibility days head to Les Brevières for beautiful tree-lined runs.
