Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

Situated at the heart of Grindelwald's main street is the classy Hotel Spinne. Spinne means ‘Spider’ in German & the hotel takes its name from the adjacent Eiger mountain. The beautiful snow formation on the north face resembles the legs of a spider. You are located 400m from the train station, cog railway and gondola.

The hotel has several cosy spaces for relaxation including a cosy lounge with open fireplace with bar service and the suave ‘Mascalero’ nightclub. The showpiece is an impressive outdoor infinity pool where you can marvel the cinematic views of the Eiger. Be sure to indulge in the ‘Alpine’ spa which boasts a herbal and finnish sauna, kneipp pool, steam bath, experience showers, whirlpool and relaxation room.

You can store your ski gear in the heated boot room and there is a ski bus stop which stops just outside.

All bedrooms have an attractive modern design with rich décor and high levels of comfort.

Grindelwald

This traditional mountain village is set amidst spectacular scenery at the foot of the towering north face of the Eiger. Easy access via mountain train, gondola and cable-car to the ‘Jungfrau’ ski region including the pistes linking Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen means that you can tackle the challenging Lauberhorn race run, have lunch in Wengen, and be home in time for tea. Or spend the day cruising the long red runs at ‘First’, Grindelwald’s own ski area. Non-skiers have fantastic winter walking possibilities with the non-skiers lift pass, whilst the friendly village has numerous shops, bars and cafés.

New for winter 19/20 is improved access to Männlichen and the ski area.

Grindelwald-Männlichen (GGM)

With the modern gondolas for up to ten people the journey to the top station at 2225 metres above sea level, takes only 19 minutes instead of 30 minutes. The Berner Oberland-Bahnen (BOB) trains now stop at the new Grindelwald Terminal station with the direct link to the new GGM-valley station. With the Männlichen aerial gondola, guests can enjoy improved first part of the new V-Cableway valley station terminal.

Eiger Express W20/21

From 12 December 2020, the new Eiger Express cableway will take you from the Grindelwald terminal to the Eiger Glacier station in just 15 minutes. Shortening the journey to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe by 47 minutes. More time to experience the majestic backdrop with breathtaking views at 3,454 metres above sea level and enjoy attractions such as the Ice Palace, Alpine Sensation and Snow Fun Park.
The state-of-the-art 26-seat cabins will take you very close to the north face of the Eiger, 1,800 metres high with a fascinating view of the mountains.

In Grindelwald you'll have one of our reps's in resort who will know the local area and can assist you with any queries.
