The village of Söll lies in a lovely open valley between the majestic Wild Emperor and Hohe Salve mountains. Midway between Innsbruck and Salzburg, it is ideally situated for a wide range of excursions and is a well-established walking area. With untouched nature and fresh mountain air it is the perfect alpine setting in which to relax and explore the region. In summer Söll boasts a multitude of attractions, including the Ahornsee lake, the Hexenwasser water adventure park for children and the Moorsee lake.

There are regular village festivals, folklore and live music evenings during high season in the village.

Grossglockner Mountain

A magnificent drive along a famous Alpine road leading right into the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park up to the highest mountain in Austria at 3,073m, for breathtaking glacier views and a chance to see wild marmots at close range. One of our most popular excursions for nature lovers, we enjoy lunch on top of the mountain.

Journey via the romantic village of Reit im Winkl to the Chiemsee, known as the “Bavarian Sea”. The Chiemsee is the largest lake in Bavaria. The biggest of several islands on the lake and accessible only by boat is Herrenchiemsee. The name derives from a sumptuous and wildly extravagant palace built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Marvel at the richly decorated interior and the stunning grounds all modeled on the Palace of Versailles. A fascinating insight into the world of a truly eccentric King.

Full day, from £40
