Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

Enveloped by verdant gardens of olive and cypress trees, the Hotel Olivi Thermae & Natural Spa is tucked away near the end of the Sirmione peninsula yet is still just a few moments’ walk from the town centre. A spa hotel, the Olivi is a wonderful mix of contemporary elegance. Rooms here are simple yet incredibly stylish with antique fixtures, rattan furniture and flickers of rose gold and bronze to complement the bright and airy spaces.

You'll feel right at home here as soon as you step into the homely lobby and meet the welcoming staff, and perhaps even the owner's fiendly dog who can often be seen in the reception area.

The restaurant offers fantastic cuisine inspired by traditional Italian cooking and using local ingredients. In the gardens, you'll find a small but ample salt water pool with complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas. There is also an indoor swimming pool within the sleek and tranquil spa area, which is home to sensory showers and a Turkish bath, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring the stunning resort of Sirmione.

Sirmione

The peninsula of Sirmione stretches out from the southern shore of Lake Garda. The entrance to the Old Town is via the bridge of the 13th Century Scaligero castle with its ‘inland dock’. The colourful, narrow streets are full of interesting shops, restaurants and bars, but are refreshingly traffic-free. As you venture further into the peninsula, the bustling streets give way to a peaceful landscape with a luxuriant vegetation of olive trees, cypresses, laurels and magnolias. A panoramic walk along the shore takes you past bathing beaches to the tip of the peninsula where an old Roman Palace, the Grottos of Catullo, has been excavated. Or you can relax and pamper yourself in the thermal pools of the lakeside Aquaria Spa.
