St. Moritz is a name that’s long been associated with luxury and style, but in the summer months, this famous resort offers a more laid-back, outdoorsy side. It swaps ski jackets for hiking boots, welcoming walkers, cyclists and sun-seekers to its mountain trails, lakes and sun-soaked terraces.

You’ll find over 580km of hiking paths ranging from gentle lakeside strolls to challenging summit routes, plus a huge network of mountain biking trails and cable cars to help you reach the higher viewpoints with ease. On quieter days, stroll through the stylish town centre, where boutique shops, cafés and art galleries sit side by side. For a cultural fix, visit the museums and explore the local heritage. Dining here is as much a highlight as the views - think sunny terraces serving everything from traditional Swiss dishes to high-end international cuisine. Be sure to try regional specialities like capuns or Bündner Nusstorte (a delicious nut-filled pastry).
