Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

With its impressive Art Nouveau façade, the Grand Hotel Liberty harks back to a forgotten era of early 20th century opulence. Nestled in stunning landscaped gardens, this refined hotel and former palace has a bright and airy interior. Boasting high arched ceilings and an elegant decor, the facilities here are all you need for a fantastic holiday in one of Lake Garda's most affluent resorts. Rooms here are incredibly spacious with many having been renovated in recent years and others maintaining a classic Italian style, all located within the main building. The onsite restaurant and cafe is sleek and elegant and the location of the morning breakfast buffet where a continental buffet with daily hot options complimented by freshly brewed coffees and teas whilst dinner is on offer to help get your day started. The evening meal is served in the elegant hotel dining room where large windows peer out into the verdant gardens and crystal chandeliers adorn the intricately decorated ceilings. Dishes range from classic Italian pasta and risotto to more adventurous creations such as crab and lobster stuffed parcels with minted pea volute. Be sure to leave some room for dessert however, in particular the traditional Italian lemon sorbet made with limoncello and served in the rind.

For those looking to relax, the spa facilities at Grand Hotel Liberty are at your disposal and include two glorious pools located both indoors and in the gardens, sauna, vitarium, Turkish bath, Kniepp bath and Jacuzzi. The outdoor pool (open from Apr - Sep) is in a quiet area of the gardens and there are plenty of sun loungers and parasols in order for you to soak up the Riva sunshine.

When getting out and about to the rest of Riva and resorts beyond, the ferry port is just a ten minute walk away and there is also a bus stop mere metres from the hotel allowing you to explore resorts in the south of the lake or even a day in Verona or Venice
