Nestled in quaint gardens and just one kilometre from the historical centre of Sirmione, Hotel Du Lac has been a long standing favourite of Ingham’s guests. This charming, family run property boasts superb levels of service in a tranquil setting with unrivalled views of the lake and harbour as well as private beach access.

With a homely and comfortable feel, the décor is wonderfully traditional. Rooms here are bright and spacious with good amenities and some offer partial views of the lake or gardens. The hotel's excellent restaurant offers fresh dishes including homemade pasta. There's a cosy bar here, too for an after-dinner drink. Out in the gardens you'll find a large pool overlooking the lake and plenty of sun loungers and parasols. For those wanting to take a dip in the lake itself, the picturesque promenade just off the Du Lac's sun bathing platform is the perfect place to take the plunge.

On the days you choose to stroll into town, a maze of quaint, cobbled lands await you boasting boutique shops, restaurants and cafes and of course, all important ice cream shops, the most famous of which 'Cremeria Bulian' is located right on the town square.

The peninsula of Sirmione stretches out from the southern shore of Lake Garda. The entrance to the Old Town is via the bridge of the 13th Century Scaligero castle with its ‘inland dock’. The colourful, narrow streets are full of interesting shops, restaurants and bars, but are refreshingly traffic-free. As you venture further into the peninsula, the bustling streets give way to a peaceful landscape with a luxuriant vegetation of olive trees, cypresses, laurels and magnolias. A panoramic walk along the shore takes you past bathing beaches to the tip of the peninsula where an old Roman Palace, the Grottos of Catullo, has been excavated. Or you can relax and pamper yourself in the thermal pools of the lakeside Aquaria Spa.
