Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

You’ll find Hotel Lido in the quiet resort of Pieve at the north of Lake Ledro. It’s a traditional place where you can go to relax or spend days exploring the amazing scenery around the lake. With green mountains behind the hotel and the lake right in front, the views certainly are spectacular. The centre of town is only a short walk away and there’s quite a bit to see and do here including museums, churches, cafés and restaurants. There are local busses from here so it’s easy to explore further afield too. Riva on Lake Garda is only half an hour away.

The hotel’s family run and has an authentic feel about it. The rooms are all individually styled and lake view rooms are available for a supplement. They make a comfy base for exploring the lake. We love spending our days walking around here – there’s a charming path that runs in front of the hotel and along the lake. It’s very peaceful, but does get a bit busier in July and August. The hotel’s got a private beach for when you need to recharge your batteries. There’s also an indoor saltwater pool that you can use. The afternoon tea and cakes are a real treat, especially if you’ve worked up an appetite on the walking and cycling trails this area is known for.

Transfer time: approx. 1 hour 45 mins by coach from Verona airport.

Lake Ledro

Up in the mountains above Lake Garda, you’ll find Lake Ledro – it’s the ideal holiday destination for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. There’s a range of trails through the woods that surround the lake and others that lead up into the mountain’s or through the valley. Our favourite trails are the ones that lead up to the mountain huts where they have food tastings and you can try the Ledro Valley’s local cheese’s.

Known for its clean, sparkling waters, it’s great for those who enjoy a wild swim! In the summer months the lake temperature can reach up to 24 degrees, so you won’t even have to worry about that initial chill. There’s are four lovely pebble beaches, with grassy sunbathing spots, so you can relax at the lakeside. You’ll also find places with sailing boats, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and pedaloes for hire too – getting out on the water is a great way to see the area.

Stay in the historic village of Pieve, on the north-western shore or Mezzolago half way down the north side of the lake. With Lake Garda just a short way away, and busses that run to and from it regularly, there’s plenty of opportunity for day trips. You can easily venture a bit further afield for the day to visit Venice or Verona, too.
