Hotel Continental was built in the early twentieth century in a beautiful Art Nouveau style. It’s an elegant place surrounded by Mediterranean gardens with leafy palms and pine trees. The gardens stretch all the way down to a private bathing platform so you can jump right into the clear sea water. The hotel is set on a hill and has fantastic views over the sea and the pretty harbour near Monte di Portofino.
The hotel’s restaurant has panoramic views of the Gulf of Tigullio, which can also be enjoyed on the spacious terrace. Try and get a table outside during the summer as the views are incredible. The chef creates menus full of traditional Italian and Ligurian dishes. If you’re after something more special, the Radiosa restaurant is the perfect setting - it overlooks the sea and is reserved for exclusive use.
There’s a recently renovated Wellness and Beauty Farm too, which is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the many massages and treatments available. If you want to keep fit on your holiday, the hotel has its own gym so you can clock up a few miles on the treadmill while looking out over the ocean.
