Residence YNYCIO is a new property offering luxury apartments in the centre of Tignes Val Claret, with a Latino atmosphere that's inspired by the South American mountains. From the residence you can access the Grand Motte funicular and Bollin chairlift by skis, making getting out on the Tignes slopes easy.

Modern and Chic Residence

This residence is modern and chic, with a Latin theme and warm colour being used throughout, which is something different for the Alps. There are large, floor to ceiling windows where you can make the most of the panoramic mountain views.

Spa and Relaxation

Make the most of the modern spa area. Take a dip in the heated indoor pool, and after swimming some lengths soothe your muscles in the two saunas and a Hamman. The wellness area is surrounded by large windows so you can relax and unwind with a fantastic, panoramic view of the surrounding mountain peaks. You can also treat yourself to a massage or beauty treatment for a local free, for a moment of pure relaxation.

Bar and Restaurant

Following with the theme of the residence, both the bar and restaurant are Latin. The bar plays lovely Latin music and has a great atmosphere to enjoy a drink or two at après. The Restaurant Bazurto serves Latin and South American inspired dishes and is a great option if you don't feel like cooking one evening.

Tignes is famous for it's record amounts of snowfall, making it the best place for skiers and snowboarders to carve up the slopes. The area has three main villages: Val Claret, Le Lac and Le Lavachet, which are linked together by a 24 hour free bus service. Val Claret is 2,100 metres high and has a superb position right at the foot of the Grande Motte funicular. Le Lac and Le Lavachet have a more cosy village feel to them and also offer easy access to the slopes and over to Val d’Isère. The villages have a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants and have a lively, friendly, buzz about them. We also have accommodation in Tignes 1850 and Tignes Les Brevieres, which are quieter villages with easy access to the slopes.

Sustainable skiing is a key priority for Tignes, with the aim to become a 100% eco-responsible resort by 2023 - Tignes have been awarded their second Flocon Vert (Green Snowflake) recognising their continuous improvements in a transition to more sustainable tourism.

Skiing and snowboarding in Tignes

There's a great mix of slopes in Tignes, making it a great place for families and groups of different levels. There's plenty of wide and long runs, through trees and on glaciers. One of the best runs has to be from the top of Grand Motte glacier and down the red into Tignes Val Claret village.

Where to stay in Tignes

We offer accommodation in all of the main villages in Tignes, with Le Lac and Val Claret being the most popular. From the majority of the hotels and apartments you can reach the slopes within a few minutes, making it extremely easy to get onto this world-renowned ski area.

Bars and restaurants in Tignes

Tignes is a lively area with plenty of restaurant and après options, from live bands and happy hours in 'Loop Bar' to delicious local Savoyade fondues in 'Coeur des Neiges'. Tignes Val Claret has the famous 'Cocorico' apres bar and pizzeria, then 'La Folie Douce' is up in the mountains. There's alot of restaurants dotted around the ski area for that well deserved mid-morning hot chocolate and then a lunch break.

Travel By Air

Flights to Chambery or Geneva from 13 UK airports

Transfer Times

  • Chambery airport: approx. 2 hours 15 mins by coach
  • Geneva airport: approx. 3 hours 15 mins by coach

For customers who are booking a Gatwick flight, we highly recommend that you choose the morning Chambery flight for Tignes due to the traffic light system in the Tarentaise Valley. This system controls and slows down the traffic, stopping traffic sitting in dangerous places, like tunnels, where rocks can fall and to make snow clearing easier when it is snowing. This can impact your transfer time, meaning you may arrive into resort later and leaving for the airport earlier.

Please note that transfers may be longer during peak holiday season or bad weather conditions.
