Courmayeur’s cobbled streets are full of luxurious shops, stocked with the most upmarket and stylish clothes and accessories. Take a walk through the town and feast your eyes on some delicious local foods, don’t worry, your nose will lead the way. You will struggle to miss the 4810m high Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest mountain which sits just beyond the town.
Despite its small ski area, Courmayeur remains a popular resort, due to its well-maintained pistes, varied terrain and spectacular scenery and views. The main attraction is the famous Monte Bianco Skyway. Imagine yourself ascending to 3,466m knowing that when you reach the top, you will be met by open powder fields and plenty off-piste to play in. This is like nowhere else we have experienced and unsurprisingly attracts top skiers and snowboarders from all around the world.
At the end of the day, there’s a great selection of bars to grab a drink, relax and chat about your day on the slopes. It’s definitely one for the bucket list.
