Discover Engelberg

When it comes to the main skiing area of Engelberg, you'll find that the majority of the pistes are spread out due to the glaciers and the rugged landscape of resort. Engelberg's ski area offers 82 kilometres of skiable terrain and is divided into two main sectors: Titlis-Stand and Jochpass. Here, the elevated north-facing slopes hold onto their snow really well, ensuring a lengthy ski season. Plus, the piste grooming is top-notch, providing excellent skiing and snowboarding conditions. You'll find that the area caters well for intermediates to advanced as many of the runs are challenging steep reds.

The Jochpass region tends to be less crowded compared to Titlis, offering pleasant blue and red runs for you to enjoy, some of which are wonderfully long, taking you all the way down to the valley station. However, if you are a beginner, you're in luck - there's a dedicated beginner's area at Gerschnialp, along with smaller areas at Trübsee and Untertrübsee, where you can start off by building your confidence. Boarders are also in for a treat as Engerlberg offers some fantastic freeriding opportunity and many guides available to accompany you and show you the best spots.

More about Engelberg

Things to do in Engelberg

Located across from the Titlis Summit Station, test out your fear of heights with Europe's highest suspension bridge at a whopping 3,041 metres! If you dare, wander across the bridge and take a moment to appreciate the views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers - on a clear day the views are never-ending, you may even be able to see as far as France, Italy and Austria! Entry is free with your lift pass.

A magical world of ice awaits you - Engelberg's Glacier Cave forms the frosty heart of Titlis and the ice here is up to 5,000 years old. The entrance is located on the first floor of the mountain station and entry is free so we'd highly recommend checking it out.

The Ice Flyer chair lift is a perfect way to see the parts of the mountains the slopes don't reach. You'll sweep over untouched snow fields and icy depths with crevasses up to 20 metres deep - make sure you bring your camera as you'll see some incredible views.

This cable car rotates it's way up towards the snow covered summit of  Titlis and is the world's first revolving cable car. Thanks to it's 360 degree viewpoint, during your 5 minute journey you can expect idyllic panoramic views of the snow covered mountains, steep rock faces and the larger ski area.
