If you are looking for a destination with plenty to get up to, Saalbach Hinterglemm is the place for you! There are tonnes of activities in the area, a few of which we’d like to tell you about in now.

Saalbach Hinterglemm is known as a leading area for mountain biking in Austria. There are over 400kms of biking trails suitable for a range of different abilities. There are a range of challenging single-track trails and freeride routes, as well as plenty of cycle touring routes.

If you are more of a relaxed rider, there are plenty of great routes across Saalbach Hinterglemm that will have you cycling through the glorious mountain landscape. The slow trails are perfect for taking time to really appreciate the fantastic views.

If pedalling sounds a little on the tiring side, never fear – Saalbach Hinterglemm is a haven for e-bikers! We can help recommend places to rent an e-bike. E-bikes give an extra boost to your pedalling power so you can ride effortlessly around the mountains. There are a plenty of charging stations at alms and mountain huts in the area too. This is great for recharging your bike as you recharge yourself with a lovely portion of apple strudel!

At the top of the Glemm Valley is a fantastic area called the Talschluss. There is so much to do up there that one trip up may not be enough! Our favourite activities include the Hochseilpark, which is a tree-top adventure course. It also happens to feature one of the longest zip lines in Europe, the Mega Flying Fox.

The zip line reaches speeds up to 80kmph as you fly 120m above the valley! We also love the brand new Jump & Slide Park where you can jump from an eight-metre high tower onto a huge air bag, and there’s a trampoline area and a freestyle ramp too.

Many of the activities we’ve mentioned in this blog post are available for free or at a discounted rate using your Joker Card, which you receive as part of your stay with Inghams in Saalbach Hinterglemm.

The Joker Card includes free use of all four lifts in the area, as well as the hikers’ bus. A journey up to the Talschluss on the Noddy Train is also included, and you can receive discounts on the Hochseilpark and the Jump & Slide Park!

We can’t wait to see you here in active Saalbach Hinterglemm!
