At the Tenuta Monacelle you’ll be able to enjoy the best of Puglia’s quiet countryside and it’s ancient towns and villages - and you'll be a short drive from the Adriatic Sea. The region is dotted with Trulli, the traditional conical dry stone buildings, and you’ll see them all over the countryside. Here you can stay in one of your very own. This traditional trulli village is made up of six masseria farm houses and individual Trulli that are surrounded by olive groves.
You’ll find the hotels large pool in a quiet spot at the edge of the trulli village, making for a tranquil place to relax. There’s a pool bar close by too, so you can enjoy a cool refreshing drink from the comfort of your sun lounger.
There’s loads to see and do here during your stay, especially activities surrounding the local traditions, culture, food and wine. Learn about the local production of olive oil and taste it for yourself. Mid May to June is when the cherries grown on the estate are ready to harvest and you'll have the chance to pick your own. Take home more than just memories by taking part in a cooking class where you'll learn how to make some of the tastiest dishes that the locals love so much. If you're up for an active adventure, take to the roads on an e-bike and explore the rural lanes and surrounding countryside.
Thanks to the abundance of locally grown foods on the estate and in the locality – you’ll be sorted when it comes to good food. At the hotels Il Ciliegeto restaurant you can try the fresh produce accompanied by a glass of local red. Ask the resident sommelier for some suggestions.
