Cefalù Sea Palace has the most fantastic location, right next to the beach and only five minutes away from the historic centre of Cefalù. If you like quirky, modern decorations and art on the walls, this is the place for you. The view from the top of the hotel looks out over the sea and you can see Cefalù's old town and Norman-Arab-Byzantine cathedral in the distance.
One of the best parts of the hotel is having dinner on the rooftop terrace and looking out at the sunset in the evening. In the day time we would recommend walking around the old town and trying the Sicilian street food. We love Cannoli which are small, crunchy pastries filled with cream (our favourite flavour is pistachio), and Pane e Panelle which are chickpea fritters (you'll find these all over Italy under different names. It can also be called Farinata di Ceci or Socca).
Transfer time: approx. 1 hour 20 mins by private car from Palermo airport and 2 hours 30 mins from Catania airport.
