Day 1: Fly to Olbia airport where you’ll be greeted by your tour manager and transferred to your hotel in Porto Cervo. Enjoy an evening meal in the hotel restaurant.
Day 2: After a hearty breakfast in the hotel, head into the glamorous seaside town of Porto Cervo built in the 60’s by the Aga Kahn. Whilst being a luxury resort, it retains a laid back Italian vibe. Admire the interesting architecture with Greek, Spanish, North African and Italian influences and browse the high-end shops. In the afternoon, head to the Santa Teresa di Gallura region at the northern tip of Sardinia. Here you’ll uncover the historical heritage of Sardinia with a visit to Complesso Nuragico di Lu Brandali with its nuraghe, ancient megalithic edifice. The complex dates back to the 14th and 10th centuries BC and is the site of the Giant’s Tomb, a gallery grave built by the Nuragic civilization in the Bronze Age. After, take a stroll along the scenic coastline to Capo Testa and admire the smooth granite rock formations, before heading back to the hotel in Porto Cervo for your evening meal.
Day 3: Today the trip heads back towards Santa Teresa di Gallura, where you’ll catch the ferry across to the French island of Corsica (approx. 50 minutes). Whilst on board enjoy the stunning views across the glistening blue water, as you head towards the port of Bonifacio. The medieval fortified citadel sits in pride of place atop the white limestone cliffs. Weave through the narrow streets, uncover the history, and soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant town, before making the journey back to the hotel in Porto Cervo.
Day 4: This morning the tour will take you to visit another of Sardinia’s idyllic nearby islands, Isola Maddalena. From the Palau take the ferry across to the town of La Maddalena (approx. 20 minutes). Once you’re here you’ll feel like you have landed on the shores of the Caribbean, with its crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches. The small island has an interesting history, inhabited since the prehistoric ages; it has changed hands and even its name several times. Expect to relax in this stunning location that takes you away from the well-beaten tourist trails to explore its beautiful beaches and rocky coves. After a day of exploring you’ll head back to your hotel in Porto Cervo.
Day 5: Head away from the coast and further inland. Today on the tour you’ll have the chance to see some of the inner regions of Sardinia. The first stop will be in the picturesque village of Aggius surrounded by striking granite mountains and gnarled cork oaks that date back hundreds of years. The town is famed for its traditional crafts, here you’ll get to learn about these crafts and techniques with a visit to the local cork museum. Next, head to Castelsardo on the north-west coast of the island. This medieval town towers above the sea and the surrounding landscape. Explore the ancient alleyways as you visit the town’s churches of Santa Mairia delle Grazie and Saint Antonio Abate, as well as the fortress and museum. Later in the afternoon, the trip will carry on toward your accommodation in the Alghero area, where you’ll also enjoy an evening meal.
Day 6: Alghero is famed for its medieval citadel and cobbled streets. In the morning you’ll have the chance to explore this historic town. Enter through the 14th Century gates to the city, Porta a Terra and take in the towns fascinating sights including the Catedrale di Santa Maria and The church of Saint Francesco. Alghero is one of the only remaining Italian cities with its walls and bastions still intact. The town is filled with small cafes, bars so you’ll have plenty of spots to choose from for a light or leisurely lunch (payable locally). In the afternoon, you’ll head to see the impressive limestone cliffs of Capo Caccia.
Day 7: In the morning, you’ll have free time to relax before heading to the beautiful town of Bosa. Enjoy the drive through the striking Sardinian landscape. As you draw closer to the town, you’ll be stuck by the rainbow coloured houses stacked in the hillside above the glossy winding Temo River. Spend some time exploring the old village, before heading back to Alghero.
Day 8: On the last day you will be taken to Olbia Airport for your flight home.

Luci Di La Muntagna - Porto Cervo
Located in an area of natural beauty, the Luci Di La Muntagna Hotel provides a tranquil retreat in the heart of the Costa Smerelda. The whitewashed Mediteranian style hotel is close to the marina and offers beautiful views over the glistening water in the bay and is just a short stroll from the centre of town. A large swimming pool with parasols and loungers looks out over the bay, creating a lovely setting to relax. In the evening the hotels restaurant serves traditional Mediterranean cuisine. The simple rooms are light and fresh with cool tiled floors.
Punta Negra - Alghero
Set in an idyllic location on Sardina’s west coast, the Hotel Punta Negra, has lovely views across the Mediterranean sea. The hotel boasts two swimming pools set atop the cliffs overlooking the sea. The hotel has plenty of places to realx and unwind, including its own private beach. The rooms a light and airy decorated in soft colours, with typical Mediterranean characteristics. The hotel provides an American buffet breakfast and the La Luna restaurant serves typical Italian cuisine.
Your Food: In the morning help yourself to the continental breakfast buffet. For your evening meal there is a 3 course menu, with a choice of 2-3 pastas, 2-3 main courses with side dish + dessert or fruit.
