Winter is a great time to visit Igls. Set on a sunny mountain plateau with stunning scenery of nature all around along with fresh Alpine air and remote trails for hiking and snowshoeing, this is a real winter wonderland. Just 5km from Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, and all it has to offer including its cultural highlights and a maze of Gothic and Baroque architecture, criss-crossed by high-sided cobbled lanes and alleyways. The local mountain, Patscherkofel extends 2,200m into the sky and offers 18km of pistes. Access to the extended SkiWorld ski area is easy with the twice weekly ski bus that takes guests to the Stubai Glacier and Axamer Lizum (Olympia SkiWorld lift pass required).
