It’s like all our Christmas’ have come at once, well at least for the people out in Courchevel! Due to such a great early snowfall, the resort have decided to fire up the lifts and open the resort this Saturday for a day of FREE skiing. Here’s two of our resort reps reporting on the latest snowfall and the preparations being made for this Saturday:

Courchevel are offering this event for those of us too impatient to wait another 2 weeks to have a little taste of the Winter season.  This really does give new meaning to first tracks. On Saturday the 23rd of November, come and try your curves on the slopes of Les Verdons and Combe de la Saulire!

For those of you that can make it there, they are opening the lifts from 9am until 4pm available to everyone without a lift pass and The Croisette car park is also available at no charge, what a bargain!

For those of you that can’t just pop up to Courchevel for the day, fear not! We have some great deals for early season, and if this is how the slopes are looking now, imagine how they will be looking in 2 weeks!  We have availability at our Chalet Hotel Les Anemones in Courchevel 1850, departing 7th December from Gatwick airport at just £399 including flights and transfers.

The team can’t wait to welcome you!

Here’s our latest snow report from Courchevel:

“Resort staff arrived at a beautifully snowy Courchevel this week – the snow has continued to fall for the last couple of days. In contrast to last year when cows were still grazing in resort, this is one of the best possible starts to what is definitely going to be a cracking season. Since Wednesday we’ve had around 30cm of snow, with such good conditions that the lifts are being specially opened for one day on Saturday, so that those in resort can make the most of the snow. The weather looks set to remain overcast, which has kept the snow cold and fluffy. We’ve even had the locals arriving to skin up the mountain to get the first tracks before the season starts properly.  At the top there is a base of 105cm which is really exciting for all of us setting up in Courchevel. With more snow forecast in the next few days, Courchevel is really starting to look like a picture postcard.”
