Just a short stroll from the ultramarine waters of Lake Garda and the vastly popular Lido Mirabello beach, Parc Hotel Gritti is one of the most popular hotels in Bardolino and offers excellent value for money. The simplicity of its exterior belies the stylish and modern amenities inside which make this a truly wonderful stay for families, couples and solo travellers alike. Nestled in verdant gardens home to forest pines, lemon and olive trees and even grape vines which bloom spectacularly in the summer months, this 4 star hotel is vast yet maintains a homely and comforting atmosphere which is no doubt the reason Inghams return here time and time again.
The interior decor is eclectic, classic Italian design mixing with modern ensuring no room is the same as an other. Rich hues of royal blue, deep maroon and shimmering canary are complimented by rich mahogany fixtures, many of which have been made locally or are antiques housed by the Gritti for decades. Standard rooms are more classical, spacious and simplistic, offering good value for money whilst the Privilege rooms which have been renovated in recent years are brighter with airy colours and a touch of luxury.
With no less than three restaurants, one of the most surprising aspects of the Parc Hotel Gritti is their ethos on cuisine ranging from old fashioned Italian favourites to gourmet fusion cuisine. The Cirpriani restaurant is sleek yet comfortable and the location for half board meals. White gold linen, crystal glasses and high ceilings create a relaxing an airy space in which to enjoy their rich buffet breakfast with hot and cold choices as well as the dinner service which offers traditional homemade pastas, rich salads and sinful desserts. The D'annunzio restaurant is much more casual and offers a hot and cold buffet service, ideal for an alternative breakfast or even popping in for lunch. The Gourmet restaurant is a fixed tasting menu straight from the minds of the kitchen team and offers not just lovely cuisine but a somelier service to advise which wine would best be paired with the treasures on your plate.
Outside, the luscious gardens harbour a large swimming pool with sunbathing platform complete with parasols and loungers for guests use and for those seeking a bit more peace and quiet, there is an indoor pool decorated to pay homage to the Roman Baths which features a whirlpool and is the ideal space for getting some much needed rest and relaxation after a day exploring the resort. The Ceasar Wells spa centre offers a light sauna, Turkish bath, celidarium (a heated room with plunge baths) and a frigidarium to counter the effects of the warm water. There is also a beauty treatment menu including sports massages which can be paid for locally.
