When: 1st December - 7th January 2024
This island certainly knows how to throw a celebration, and in December and January, the island bursts with Christmas and New Year cheer. The entire month transforms into a festive fiesta, spreading joy throughout the streets of Funchal.

With three races to choose from, you have the unique opportunity to sprint into the heart of Funchal’s vibrant streets while enjoying the race, or if you prefer, you can channel your inner sports commentator and cheer on the incredible athletes in action.

Madeira Rum Festival
When: 16th-21st April 2024
Rum-ble into spring at the Madeira Rum Festival. Learn all about the island’s prized Agricultural Rum, enjoy masterclasses, and chat to the artisans behind the brew.
When: 2nd- 24th May 2024
Madeira bursts into colour during the Flower Festival, with bright decorations and lovely scents everywhere. The Flower Parade is the star of the show, symbolising hope and new beginnings.

Summer starts with a bang at the Atlantic Festival, ringing in summer with tunes, sparks, and show-stopping acts. The festival is a vibrant showcase of culture that spreads its magic across Madeira.
The festival kicks off with pyromusical acts so eye-catching, you might just forget to blink.
Fancy some sparkle? Don’t miss the International Madeira Fireworks Competition. If acrobats and screens are more your thing, the Multimedia and Circus Shows won’t disappoint.

Classics at Magnolia
When: 27th - 28th July 2024
Step back in time with ‘Classica at Magnolia.’ This event is more than just a car show, it’s a journey through the golden age of motoring. It’s a showcase of the oldest cars in Madeira, a tribute to the automobile and motorists of the early 20th century.
Madeira Wine Rally
When: 1st - 3rd August 2024
Rev up your engines for the Madeira Wine Rally. It’s been attracting rally enthusiasts from around the world since 1959. The race combines motorsport with breathtaking landscapes. Drivers race, while Madeira’s gorgeous views photobomb the background. Come for the vroom, stay for the views.

Cheers to Madeira’s Wine Festival. Sip and savour the legendary Madeira wine as Funchal’s streets come alive with festivity. From bustling boulevards to quaint vineyards, discover the 400-year-old drink in all its glory.

When: 1st - 15th September 2024

Estreito’s Wine Harvest Festival
