Nendaz

  • 410 kilometres of ski slopes
  • Skiing up to 3,330 metres
  • Transfer approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Located in the heart of the Valais region of the Four Valleys, Nendaz is a large and modern resort offering some of Europe's best slopes for all abilities. Located next to it's loud and lively sister resort of Verbier, Nendaz is known for its contrasting laidback atmosphere and is the perfect choice for family and friends looking for a more chillaxed ski experience. The resort lies on a sunny terrace near Sion, and you'll find the views here are incredible, with lots of opportunities for some fantastic photos overlooking the Rhône Valley. And when you're not hitting the slopes, we're sure you'll also enjoy the range of off slope activities including dog sledding, ice skating, tobogganing and a huge 130 kilometres of winter trails to explore.

Skiing and snowboarding in Nendaz

Nendaz is a fantastic option for you if you're an intermediate skier or boarder who has confidence when it comes to hitting the slopes. The majority of the runs here are made up of long reds slopes with a nice selection of blacks too. The off pisting here is also some of the best Europe has to offer, with access to some fantastic freeriding terrain and incredible snow up in the Mont Fort area.

That being said, this does not mean you can't book a holiday to Nendaz if you're wanting to learn how to ski, or simply want to get more experience perfecting your technique. For those just starting out, there are numerous drag lifts up the top of the Tracouet gondola, plus a snowtubing section for the little ones. There are some nice blue slopes to practice on - head over to Siviez on the sun drenched slopes, and enjoy relaxed blue runs with amazing views. When you return back to Nendaz, you can enjoy a long cruisy blue through the trees and chalets or take your time perfecting your turns on the winding red run. The ski schools here also cater to all abilities and have English speaking ski instructors.

Although Nendaz is quieter than the other resorts in the Four Valleys, the resort centre still provides a good selection of bars and a couple of nightclubs too.
