Ski holidays in Grindelwald

"Traditional village with fabulous skiing at the foot of the mighty Eiger"

This traditional mountain village is set amidst spectacular scenery at the foot of the towering north face of the Eiger. Easy access via mountain train, gondola and cable-car to the ‘Jungfrau’ ski region including the pistes linking Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen means that you can tackle the challenging Lauberhorn race run, have lunch in Wengen, and be home in time for tea. Or spend the day cruising the long red runs at ‘First’, Grindelwald’s own ski area. Non-skiers have fantastic winter walking possibilities with the non-skiers lift pass, whilst the friendly village has numerous shops, bars and cafés.

Temperatures 4 °C to ---6°C. Event: This is the last week of another great winter season in Grindelwald. This is a dairy farming region and already the farmers are preparing for the summer grazing. The whole area will soon be transformed with the onset of spring into a breathtakingly attractive region with lush green pasture, flower filled meadows, snow-capped peaks, walking and cycling trails, boats criss crossing the lakes, cable cars and mountain lifts providing access to the mountains, scenic excursions to places of natural beauty and to unspoiled towns of cultural interest. You will find Swiss resorts including Grindelwald in the Inghams Lakes and Mountains brochure so why not enjoy Switzerland in the summer? In the meantime, this is Ian Hill Inghams Representative looking forward to your visit next winter, in Grindelwald.
